An O scale Helping Hand

"What if our world and the model train world could interact with each other? Something like this could happen".

The crew of a local train was having a typical, but good, day dropping off empty grain hoppers and picking up loaded ones from a rural grain elevator, until one of them decided to derail. Getting out of the locomotive, the crew unhappily walked over to ponder about how to get out of this predicament.

Working on the other side of the layout, I looked over and saw that they needed some help. I put down my control throttle, walked over and with their careful guidance, re-railed the hopper car. The crew started walking back to the locomotive, but the engineer stopped and looked back at me with a worried look on his face. I smiled, winked at him and said "Don't worry. The boss will never find out".

Hearing that, he smiled and joined the rest of the crew in the cab of the locomotive and continued down the line. Just remember, big or small everyone needs a helping hand once in a while!
