Hi, Getting back into model rail ...

Hi, Getting back into model railroading after being out 30 years.Your product line is fantastic to work with it delivers a real quality look to the layout. While I have you how do I model oil spills in the yard??

- Frank A Rodrigues

Response from Woodland Scenics

Hello Frank: Thank you for your interest in our products. There are endless ways to model an oil spill. The key is to have fun and use your imagination. Here are some examples: -Black paint -Earth Colors Liquid Pigment in Black (C1220) -Top Coat Asphalt (ST1453) -Mix a Black liquid pigment with Realistic Water (C1211), and add a hint of water. This will model a shiny, black oil spill. -Mix water-soluble black paint (like our liquid pigments) with water-soluble adhesive, and a hint of water. This will give some texture to the oil spill. Please contact us with any questions.

You have great products - have used several scenic products over the years, BUT, when are you going to produce some scene materials for the late 80-90's era. Presently everything is in the 50's and earlier - But is useless to me and all others who may model more in the contemporary vein. Anything coming our way??
